La ville de Tokyo 
Tokyo est une ville moderne et démesurée, vaste comme 20 fois Paris, elle accueille plus 12 millions d’habitants intra-muros et plus de 30 millions dans sa région en prenant en compte la périphérie (Yokohama, Chiba, Kawasaki, …). Tokyo est une ville multi-niveaux, si nous devions étalés Tokyo sur un seul niveau, elle serait aussi vaste que la moitié de la France.
C’est également une ville pleine de contraste ou l’architecture traditionnelle se mêle aux plus modernes et ou les immenses parcs trouvent une place au milieu des buildings.
Visiter Tokyo n’est pas une chose aisée, hormis les grands axes, les rue ne portent pas de nom et les quartiers change de visage très souvent. Tokyo est en perpétuelle évolution, et les constructions et reconstructions sont visibles à chaque coins de rue.

The twenty-three special wards of Tokyo, each governed as a city, cover the area that was once the city of Tokyo in the eastern part of the prefecture, and total over 8 million people. The population of the prefecture exceeds 12 million. The prefecture is the center of the Greater Tokyo Area, the world's most populous metropolitan area with 35 million people and the world's largest metropolitan economy with a GDP of US$1.191 trillion at purchasing power parity in 2005.
Tokyo is the seat of the Japanese government and the Imperial Palace, and the home of the Japanese Imperial Family.
